In your own space, Talk about your favorite trope, cliché, kink, motif, or theme.

In no particular order-
First kiss - I like the romance of beginning relationship fics rather than established ones
Mutual pining/idiots in love - So long as the pining ends up being requited love at the end
Christmas - particularly gift exchanges
De-aging - maybe my favorite among the AUs
Marking/possessive behavior/collaring - my favorite kinks to read and write


Challenge #12

In your own space, set yourself some goals for the coming year.

1) Lose 20 lbs. Last year, I had a hand-wavey "some weight" goal, so I thought I'd make it more concrete. Exercise more.
2) Work on archiving last year's works (and check my lists from previous years to make sure there wasn't anything I missed
3) Put hangers on my art and display it
4) Read/finish five books. I'm currently working on "Hell of a Book" by Jason Mott which my sister gave to me for Christmas and "Moby Dick" because occasionally I get the urge to read something considered a classic.
5) Write my way through the femslashficlets prompt list - I've written for some, but there are quite a few that I haven't touched yet. Hopefully they won't close the comm until I'm done with them.
6) Keep up with my hardtime100 prompts as both a moderator and a writer.


Challenge #13

In your own space, rec three fanworks that you did not create.

Baby, It's Cold Outside (OZ) by vanillalime - This fic was written for me for this year's oz_magi and it's just terrific. vanillalime does a great job of showing Tim McManus and Sean Murphy's relationship through the years with Christmas as a backdrop.

Will and Testament (Top Gun: Maverick) by PurpleArrowzandLeather - It's a series of three fics where a now deceased Iceman leaves instructions on the care and feeding of one Pete "Maverick" Mitchell to Cyclone. It's very funny.

White Noise (L.A. Confidential) by Devilc - Closing with an old favorite. I love the idea of Ed leaving LA behind to see what could happen on a visit to see Lynn and Bud in Bisbee. And what happens in Bisbee is very nice indeed and deserving of its M rating.

I love the Idiots In Love trope so much! I wish I were better at writing it, lol!

That's a lovely green icon!

I usually write more one-sided Pining fics. If both of them are oblivious, I generally want to knock their heads together by the end of it. If I'm reading it, it's pretty adorable though.

I have still not watched TG:M, but I'm one step closer because I've purchased the DVD! (Also, have rewatched part of TG because they aired it on TV recently.) Bookmarking that fic for later because hope springs eternal, lol! Thank you!

My TG:M DVD is currently residing in my portable player. I'd stopped it at a certain point (near the end) and just haven't jumped back in to complete it. It's a fun movie and it hits all the sentimental buttons from the first film. I saw it 3 times in the theater which is rare for me at this point in time (I think "Goodfellas" might have been the last movie I saw repeatedly in a theater.)

Oh, I probably should have put "spoiler alert" on that rec. Sorry about that.
