Right place, right time

cmk418Through sheer coincidence, I managed to get my DVD of "The Departed" back tonight. It's playing now and I don't want to turn it off despite being pretty daggone sleepy. So there will be more fic on that front really soon - especially since I was able to see a crucial detail that plays into one of my newer ideas.
For those writers out there, have you ever had an idea for something that was so dark that it frightened you to even think of devoting time to it? I have something like that - modern day horror - turning inside my head now - an idea for an original project - just wondering what I'm looking at down the line in pursuing it.
