cmk418 | Fannish 50 - Thoughts on Blues-Islanders 3/10/26

- It might have been the clown jerseys but this was one wild game. Pucks bouncing every which way, complete chaos on both ends of the ice, it was great.
-Broberg seem to be a focal point and doing good things every time he was out on the ice.
-Was checking Broberg's shot totals (only 3) and noticed that Snuggerud had 8(!). Both of them had great nights.
-It took a while to get to the first television timeout (and Schenn tribute). It was past the 10 minute mark before we had the first stoppage in play after the Broberg goal.
-Nice tribute and salute by the fans for Brayden. Nothing but love for the Captain
-Otto Stenberg was back and didn't look out of place
-Theo Lindstein looked good. He's not overly physical, more like the kind of guy that's going to cross-check someone all the way down the ice, as opposed to leveling them into the boards
-Hofer played out of his mind, but he was helped with a ton of puck luck in the first because if the bounces had gone New York's way, it would have been 3-1 (at least) by the end of the first
-New York controlled a lot of the play, but the Blues took advantage of the chances they were given
-Mailloux continues to improve.
-Honestly, the whole team looked more engaged in a hockey game than I've seen in a long time.
-I'm kind of ticked that they called the 4th Blues goal back. I haven't been able to count beyond three at home games this season.
-The double minor killed us. It was a matter of time that the tide was going to turn and that was the turning point.
-It wasn't announced in the arena, because they only named the goal scorer when they gave him third star of the game, but it was nice to see that Schenn got an assist on the GWG.
-Despite the ending, that was the most fun game I've been to and the most involved I've been watching a live game in a while. Looking forward to the next one.
