So it's been a little strange. The workweek wickedness stretched to Friday with the office kitty as the latest victim (poor baby got injured somehow & had to be taken to the vet - yes, despite my initial resistance, I love the cat). My boss was gone for most of the morning and Bob was on vacation so it made for a very quiet office until the afternoon.

Saturday, went down to LA Erotica. It was very nice although it seemed like more vendors and less merchandise than last year. Maybe it was that last year everything was new and this year there was less that seemed innovative to me. Two things made me think of ya'all (and it's not kinky or anything so don't worry). The first was the lady that handed me a yaoi sample - for those that don't know (and I didn't), yaoi is m/m slashfic, generally in graphic form (like anime or manga) - now if we can get Harlequin to put forth a line of m/m books, we'll be making progress. The second one is specifically for my fellow Ozzites, there was a t-shirt on display that read "Fuck you, you fucking fuck" If they had dropped the word "fucking", I would have totally gotten it.

Spent last evening with a bunch of friends I hadn't seen in a while. It was nice.

Today, I went with the full intention of getting lunch, going over to Samuel French (to check out plays) and then getting groceries for the week. Unfortunately, my original lunch plan - getting a very specific salad that Panera no longer carries - fell through, so I found myself at this shop I've been to a couple of times (just to look) - the Artisan Cheese Gallery. They were offering cheese sampler plates - 3 cheeses, bread, dried fruit. Needless to say, I was not shying away from that. (Of course, that immediately took my desire to do any grocery shopping off the table). Play shopping was semi-successful. I got my brother a replacement copy of "Speed the Plow" and something called "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot" (He didn't ask for it, but it's got some nice male roles in it - although the language factor makes it near impossible for him to perform with his current company). I'm currently reading it and I find it really funny. They haven't come out with anything for the current musical production of "Spring Awakening", but I picked up a copy of the original play just to give myself some background. The music is really growing on me.

Guess I'd better drag myself to bed.
