Saturday night wrap-up
Jan. 26th, 2008 10:34 pmIt's raining again. I don't think I signed on for this when I moved to SoCal - I've gotten used to about thirty minutes of rain every couple of months and that's it. This weather has been going on for the better part of the week though. I am not amused.
Finished up Season 2 of "Big Love". There was lots of Alby toward the end, and, much to my delight, an Alby-Lois scene. Bill was quite annoying, but everybody else seemed to step up and really make the season much better than the first. There will be fanfic coming shortly, especially since I've signed up on the
100_women community.
On the subject of communities, I stumbled on the
queerasfolkuk community yesterday. There's a lot of Stuart/Vince fic, which makes me very happy. (For those who have only seen the American series, it translates into Brian/Michael - only better). I should watch that series again - it's such fun.
I felt like I hadn't been able to do anything this week at work, but yesterday I definitely earned my money (still didn't get the mounds of paperwork down, but I managed to keep one of our biggest clients happy). Maybe we'll actually get a thank you when the boss comes back from vacation. (I'm not really holding my breath for that one!)
Think I'll work on cleaning the apartment tomorrow (it needs it) and then doing a little bit of writing.

Date: 2008-01-29 02:35 pm (UTC)That reminds me of living in Chicago which seemed to be the only place in the world where, no matter which direction you turned, the snow would always blow in your face.
Ben, Michael and their son was one of the more endearing points of the later seasons. Ben actually grew on me - it took a while though before I was willing to part with the fantasy of Brian/Michael.

Date: 2008-01-29 04:17 pm (UTC)the first episode when I thought that was what was going to happen, I never really could see the two of them together.
My cousin lived in Chicago when he was in college and he described it the same way you did. He transferred after about a year to come back to NY.
