Is it safe?

I have never seen the movie "Marathon Man", but tonight I felt like I was re-enacting the classic scene from it, with myself as Dustin Hoffman and my dentist in the Laurence Olivier part.

Needless to say, the appointment did not go well. Routine cleaning with my dentist singing "I hate perio" under his breath and me alternating between cursing and screaming in pain.

We only got half done. And then the nice perio lady (yes, there actually is one - either that or my dentist did such a hatchet job that she was gentle by comparison) said that we wouldn't have time to do the rest.

At which point I was halfway out of the chair and heading home.

It's a bad sign when a cleaning from the dentist hurts!It's a good thing you were able to get out of there before they did any more to you.

Thanks, hon. It was achy as he was working on it, but when I woke up the next day, it was fine.

I just have the left half to look forward to.

Okay. Bed now. I've been up 19 hours. Time for sleep.
