Good things

Hockey season officially starts today for the Hawks.
Love the standings picture this morning (with Chicago on top - it pays to be first alphabetically - and Detroit with their 0-1-0 record on the bottom). Now, if it would stay that way for the next 82, that'd be excellent.
Heard from a friend from Chicago that I haven't talked to in a while. He and his partner are coming to town next week, so we're going to meet up and have lunch.
One of the guys I used to do youth ministry with at MCC is going to be a reference for the non-profit job (if it gets to that point).
I've lost 12 pounds the past two months. Between cooking at home and taking a walk every day, the hiatus seems to be paying off. I'd like to drop a little more before Thanksgiving, because any time I visit my parents, they feed me. A lot.
And, there's a new "Life" episode tonight. People, you should be watching this show. And you can catch up on hulu. Do it. You'll thank me later.
ETA: Yay Connecticut! The supreme court there has legalized gay marriage. That's really great. Let's keep the dominos falling down (and staying down!)
