Dodgers Question for colleendetroit

Hey Colleen-

I'm watching today's game against the White Sox on WGN and I noticed that Russell Martin is wearing a jersey that says "J. Martin" on the back. Surely Vin Scully has had something to say about this. Enquiring minds want to know.

Oh yeah, Mr.D mentioned something about that. The J is honor his mom (her first initial, I think). I don't know why and it seems very odd that the league allowed it because it is confusing! Weird.
