Who Wants to Cheer Me Up?
Aug. 3rd, 2009 04:12 pmHey all-
I'm a little down today due to having still no news on the job front (and getting closer to a year since my last permanent job) and watching my finances dwindle. So I am in need of silliness or smuttiness or Viggo kickin' ass in the shower in "Eastern Promises". Just a little something to keep my mind off this crap for a while. Thank you muchly!

Date: 2009-08-04 10:50 pm (UTC)I have another chapter I'm doing of the Oz/Monty Python thing-it's not smutty, but it is silly.
I also have a silly fic with Brian/Justin if you want to see that. It's really, really silly.
Here's the link:http://community.livejournal.com/bjfic/1370090.html
Warning: Do NOT eat or drink anything sweet before or while reading this! You will experience a sugar rush the likes of which you may never recover from!
I would offer to do a story on Viggo in the baths kicking ass naked, but I just remember him fighting naked. I don't really remember much else about that part :)
Diid you like Viggo in Aapaloosa? I loved the chemistry between him and Ed Harris in it,and it definitely had slashiness to it (like Everett telling both Allison and Virgil that he was with Virgil). I loved that movie.
I hope you feel better!
"hugs",
Michele
BTW: HBO is showing "Mallrats" on demand if you want to see it again!

Date: 2009-08-05 01:09 pm (UTC)I've not seen "Aapaloosa" yet, but I'll have to put it on my list of must-sees.
Thanks for remembering about "Mallrats". If it gets too bad, I'll watch that and "Dodgeball" and "Tropic Thunder" back to back (or alternating with "Eastern Promises" and "Sweeney Todd" depending on where I am on the "hate the world" spectrum.
I'm not feeling nearly as terrible as I did on Monday, but still am a bit down.
I get the fun task of cleaning out the refrigerator today. I told a friend recently that I've started to enjoy cleaning, since it seems to be something that I have control over and can see measurable progress as I'm doing it. How sad is that!

Date: 2009-08-05 06:43 pm (UTC)Yes,I was sure that you wouldn't need sweets after reading that, and hopefully weren't eating any while reading it :)
"Dodgeball"-oh god that is such a funny movie! I haven't seen "Tropic of Thunder".What is that about?
I like the way you describe watching "Sweeney Todd" as being for when you're in a "hate the world" mood, lol. I notice that my desire for action/violence movie increases with my hate and anger at the world, too.
I understand the need to have something you can feel control over-even if it is cleaning!
I'm glad you're feeling less down than you were the other day. I hope things get better soon.
Definitely see Aapaloosa! I really liked the two of them together in that (I didn't like Renee too much in it,but that might have been the character. She was a bit annoying).
BTW: I love your icon! I miss that show because of her character. I really wanted to know more about her,but unfortunately the show ended too soon. I'm sending my own kickass woman icon back. My favorite female action character(and maybe just female character in general),Emma Peel :)
