So I come home from this show at church, check my e-mail and then go on chicagoblackhawks.com to check the score of the game. They lost. I feel like Kevin Kline in "A Fish Called Wanda" - "DISAPPOINTED!" I should probably listen to it to see if it's really as bad as the box score makes it out to be - 22 shots on goal is not a good night. I am not a happy camper. Yes, my friends, only 80 more nights like this until we reach the playoffs. They'll get better. Part of it is that the Blues (as I mentioned before, and I still love them in spite of it) suck. So to lose to the Blues is just plain wrong.
I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I do a lot of non-B/K stuff for 2 reasons - first, there's a lot of wonderfully written B/K stuff out there and a bunch of incredibly talented people to cover the field as far as B/K fic is concerned, and, second, because I really do want the opportunity to read about/write for other characters & character pairings just to make the fic universe as diverse as Oz was. And also (yes a third reason) because my Keller turns out so non-sexual, I can't put him with Beecher and make it believable. I actually do love B/K as characters, but I also love O'Reily and Schibetta and Murphy and McManus and Bellinger and Said and Donald Groves and Schillinger (although I haven't done anything with him yet) et cetera.
Finally figured out what I'm doing for the advice prompt, then I might take on another 5 things, although I haven't narrowed it down to one yet.
ETA: You can take Schillinger off my characters-to-do list
