Realization - a fairly sports-heavy post
Oct. 28th, 2007 07:24 pmI just realized that in another half hour or so, I will no longer be able to refer to the St.Louis baseball team as "the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals". That's depressing. Even more depressing is that it has to go to the blasted Red Sox. Sick.
MIA - Chicago Blackhawks goaltending. Guys, your offense is finally making an effort, the least you could do is try to keep pace. Giving up 3 goals on 18 shots is not pleasant.
Happily, the Kings have figured out how to win and are now (basically) tied for first in points. How bout that. 2 weeks ago they were dead last, and now they're at .500. (This also goes to show how awful the Western division is).
Cleaning the house in fits and starts tonight. A friend is coming in to visit from Chicago, so I have to make things a bit presentable. I'm looking forward to the visit. It's been a while since I've seen anybody from there, so I can also get caught up on some of the gossip.
Note to whoever is programming the NFL games on Fox - when a team goes up 35-0, it is reasonable for you to switch to another game until the opposition puts at least 2 touchdowns on the board. It is boring, and people who aren't Pats fans (which right now is 90 percent of the NFL watching world) aren't really thrilled. And a Manning-free week or two would be fine as well.
