Some good things...

Since I was so down in my last post, I might as well talk about the things that aren't all gloom and doom.

Fic-wise, both Merry Moving Day and The Effects of a Morning Jog have been nominated for the Running with Scissors awards and the Forbidden awards, respectively. I really appreciate the nominations for both.

Also, oz_magi had some great stuff written for it this year. I haven't read all the stories yet, but those I had have been wonderful.

Job-wise, still no job yet, but on my walk Friday afternoon, I stumbled upon a temporary employment place that operates about ten minutes from my house. I have an appointment with them on Tuesday afternoon. Pray for good weather (and no snow before 5PM) here on Tuesday.

Living situation-wise, the parents are gone and I have the house to myself for a few hours. A little Chinese food, catching up with various fandoms, and maybe a little Blackhawks hockey to round out my evening. Sounds like heaven.

I finished watching "Angel". I did enjoy the Angel/Spike dynamic, but I'm still not really hip on pairing them (sorry, March). I think that Ilyria/Wesley is my pairing of choice from Season Five, and I'd love to see more Connor fic. Favorite episode of the series - "Darla" from Season Two, but I like "Origin" from Season Five, "Spin the Bottle" from Season Four, "Lullaby" from Season Three, "Dead End" from Season Two, and "To Shanshu in L.A." from Season One (mostly for the great fight scene between Angel & Lindsey).

And my beloved Blackhawks still seem to be playing pretty well. They'll be here next Saturday and I can't wait!!!
