I was wondering if Hardtime100 was still around! (I've been gone for like a decade.) I used to enjoy writing for it occasionally back in the day. It was very inspiring!

Unfortunately, personally I don't go to LJ at all anymore. (It's a malfunctioning chaotic mess for me when I try. Nothing loads correctly, and no, I don't want a Russian bride, thanks ads.)

Glad to hear you're keeping HT100 alive, though!

A lot of people feel the same way. I have a paid account so I don't get to see/deal with the 7th portal of hell that some people encounter there- I'd probably leave too if that was the case.

Oz Magi & HT100 were my gateways into fandom and they really mean a lot to me so when I was given the opportunity to be the maintainer, I jumped at the chance. I know there used to be a community over here but it's been so long and I'm not sure if I can re-export things into DW from there because there have been a lot of changes/additions that would need to go over.

It would most likely be too complicated or difficult to mirror it over here or anything, totally understandable to keep it strictly LJ. I'm sorry I can't participate! But it's awesome that you're carrying the torch and helping keep Oz fandom alive. Kudos to you! However small, it really is one of the best, nicest fandoms imho. When I returned and saw that both magi and HT100 were still ongoing, it made me happy.

I agree that it's one of the best fandoms. The people in it really make it a nice place to play.

So, what fandoms are you into now or have you left that mostly behind? Currently, I'm into Prodigal Son and Batwoman, but haven't really immersed myself in those fandoms other than writing a few pieces here and there. And hockey RPF which I have delved into to some extent but am backing off a bit from now.

Between being a socially awkward lurker, and honestly having been away from the entire internet for so long, I'm not in any fandoms, really. Partially because I don't know where they are anymore! ;) It was all LJ and mailing lists last time I was here. I'm mostly just reading on AO3 and occasionally poking little hearts on tumblr.

Oh, I love Prodigal Son! I've pretty much only read like two Malcolm/Edrisa fics so far, so again, not so much in the fandom. Just enjoy the show. And Good Omens, because I've loved that book since I was a teen and there's been an explosion due to the show.

I know exactly zero about hockey rpf, but I've been highly amused by the number of times I've found an AO3 author I liked, looked up their other fandoms and found hockey rpf. So it must be something all the awesome people are into.

I get what you're saying about other fannish communities. At some point, it became seemingly impossible to search for them. So the only time I can find communities is if someone posts a link in their fic and then I can jump all over it.

It's neat to see how many people really love Prodigal Son. I like the dynamic he and Edrisa have, but I think she would be quickly frightened off by the darkness that's in him. I tend more toward Malcolm/Dani, but the two of them may be better off as friends.

I have never read Good Omens. I should at some point. I did enjoy American Gods although I've never seen the show.

Hockey RPF was something I never thought I'd get into because I never really wanted to think about them in real life, but, then the lockout of 2013 happened and I fell into it. I've actually been on a m/m hockey fiction book kick and found quite a few series that have been good.

I enjoyed American Gods (book) as well. Only watched some of the show.

Good Omens has a different, crazier funnier vibe. (I discovered it as a teen, and have reread and lent it out so many times my paperback looks like a hellhound mauled it.)

You have a point about Edrisa maybe being a put off by his darker aspects. I love Dani, too, but prefer them as friends. They are building an interesting relationship tho.

After you mentioned it, I did upload "Good Omens" to my Kindle. I'm really enjoying it so far and finding it a very fun read.

If you've seen last night's episode, Edrisa might be more into those bedside restraints than we originally thought. She was one of the bright spots.

Yes! The knot line, and the matter of fact way she treated it was great. ... I did not care for the nickname she was trying out for herself, though. ;) I adore her.

The Good Omens show was quite good as well.
