Kids (AT, SL)

There was a little girl today on the bus, somewhere around 7 or 8 years old who asked her mom if women still needed men to have babies. Now I have my own opinions which I managed to keep to myself, but her mom said that men were necessary or else the woman could adopt. Both viable. I thought about letting the young one learn about sperm banks or getting lucky enough to find a girlfriend (if she was so inclined later in life) who had kids from a previous relationship. Oddly enough this went along with a discussion on genes & chromosomes that we were having on the way home from my Friday night meeting to make me think of my former writing partner and an idea that we had about some whacked out screenplay involving women-only procreation and genetics - failed experiment, baby turned out to be a boy. Fun little story. Never finished. I remember mentioning sperm banks once to my grandfather when I was in my late teens, early 20s as an option for me to have kids. He wasn't warm on the idea. My first gf did not want kids at all and did not want me to want them. And the second had a son, that was a big drawing card for me, had to give that up when it ended though. Nice kid. Deserved better parents (both of them) than he was dealt. Right now, I basically figure I've got 3 boys at work (ok, one is 10 years older than me, but he's still one of my kids), so that's something. They are good guys, funny as all get out. And I work with the young folks at my church so it's all working out I suppose. And I have my niece, who I spoil rotten.
I didn't look at the character generator this morning but it felt like a Chris Keller kind of day. Pretty good and I was in control of my shit. Needless to say, work wasn't too bad. I got to drive out to the one studio for a pickup from my favorite assistant. I love all of my clients (from my route) but this girl is worth the trip. I did notice the HR office on the way back. Would love to get a job there, but I don't know about the 3 pic deal at Paramount, if that would work in. My friend Rainy wishes for a gf, I'm blowing the candles out for another year in the hopes that Paramount will give me a 3 picture deal. They don't really do that with writer's but maybe I'll mark a renaissance.
Talked to my sister tonight. Really want her to get into fan fic. She'd love the whole Buffy thing and it would get her more into it, I think. I brought up the idea of an "Oz" calendar and she started getting silly and saying that she'd have to put in pics of Australian actors. I told her that was fine as long as she quoted the show. Read these and think of them coming from Cate Blanchett (dressed as Queen Elizabeth) -
From "The Tip" -

Let's go get a martini. - Beecher to Sr. Pete
I'm going to see to it that you never leave Oz. You hear me, sweetpea. Never. Ever. - Beecher to Schillinger
