I woke up this morning initially at 5, reset the alarm for 6 and then started hitting the snooze button - I only recall hitting it 3 times, but when I looked at the clock it was 10 minutes til 7. I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off for a few minutes then waited for a bus for 20 minutes (I'm really going to have to make a dedicated effort to get back to walking). Work was busy - I got all the mail done by noon, then really didn't feel like doing much else for the rest of the day. I was helping clients. Yeah, that was it. My boss' wife was in and at one point he asked her "how do you do math?" She's the accountant (very loosely defined) - I can't look at the way she handles the books, it makes my head hurt. So to hear something like that was pretty funny - it makes me think that the day of reckoning is coming sooner than we think. I did a little work on the Keller thing - I think it's getting too serious for its own good - I really don't want it drowning in angst, but I know there are some issues that are bound to arise (especially after watching S666) so I have to be attentive to that. Then I had my meeting - I knew I was running the show, I just didn't realize that there would only be one other leader - out of 5 - present. Thank God the group was small. It was a good discussion. About places we lived, places we have visited or wanted to visit, and about home. It was really nice. I didn't get home until after 11 though and even that was by cabbing it. I will not be watching any "Oz" tonight, but I will probably wrap up the series at some point tomorrow. Part of me is looking forward to it, and part of me wants to keep in on hold a little while longer. Because once it's over, it's over. BTW, the funniest moment from last night's episode was Omar (yes, Omar) trying to convince McManus to let him have a face to face meeting with Idzik. In the history of the show, he was probably the only person who wasn't able to con McManus (not saying a heck of a lot for Timmy-boy there) and the thing that got me was Omar's reaction of frustration that McManus wasn't buying it. I would love to know what was going through Fontana's mind when he continued to write for this character, episode after episode, season after season - I knew he came on to make up for the loss of Adebisi's unpredictability, but Adebisi was never that annoying.
