I love Martin Havlat. He scored again tonight. He's amazing. He'll be traded before the deadline.
It's very hard to concentrate when you've got African music resounding in your head. And it's only certain parts of the song, which makes it even more annoying.
Found the through-line (I think) for the new fic. But it means I have to scrap one of my darlings. And it's the one I REALLY wanted in there, too.
I actually took the time to watch an episode of "Oz" tonight (4Giveness - Very bad things happen to Beecher). Did I just write that sentence? Is it getting that bad? Omar still seems very charming. Got to say though, a line that gives me a giggle (in the previous S6 episode - "Somebody tell me how a gun made it into Oz." (I may be paraphrasing slightly) - Hee. Six seasons. And Leo's just now catching on that he runs a deathtrap. I laugh every time. And seriously, loving McManus in this episode - he and Murphy - the history, the chemistry, the astro-physics (just seeing if you were paying attention) - it's beautiful. Patty Lupone, though, needs to go, and take Timmy Kirk's mom & the nutzo nurse with her.
The guys on ESPN Radio were ticking me off tonight - saying that nobody wants to see a St. Louis - Detroit World Series. (I almost slashed that for some reason). Nobody. I can think of a few people that would want to see that Series (and I'll even take myself out of that statement.) I'm going to stop on this topic before my Midwestern roots turn this into a rant on how teams from the middle of the country (the exception maybe being Chicago) are passed over. Apparently didn't stop it soon enough.
