Work, etc.

Well the piles on my desk at work are slowly creeping down. One of our clients was bitching today about how long it takes for her to get her docs back. This is somebody who is actually fairly current with the returns (as opposed to my other two clients 15 - which is now current & 30-45 days behind - which I'm going to be processing like a mad bunny tomorrow). I was going to type up her stuff today to be extremely current with that account, but after my boss gave me that note, I tossed it under a stack of typing for my 30-45 day client - there's some things that I can be pushed on and some that I can't. (Not to mention that the doc she was bitching about was typed up and given to her within 24 hours of my receiving the report - which was, granted, over a month late from my independent contractor). So that was my work day. But I got a lot accomplished and I've been getting help with a lot of my clerical b.s. and the one co-worker that's been out sick was back today, so all in all it was good.

Had to go to a meeting tonight. It wasn't bad. I mostly just observed, but somehow I manage to say the right thing when I need to in order to tie it all together. Sometimes it takes two hours for those thoughts to come to the surface.

Weird observation. Apparently LJ is using my interests for ad programming but one of the ads is for "Doctor Oz Diet". Wrong Oz, Skippy, but thanks for playing. Maybe I should put "gay prison dramas" as an interest.

I'm happy that all the folks who get A&E can finally see "The Sopranos". Although I have no idea how those folks can deal without the cursing. It'd be like watching "Glengarry Glen Ross" on network television. My brain for some reason switched from "The Sopranos" to "Oz" because I started to wonder how they were going to do Keller's line. ::headdesk:: They'd never do "Oz".

BTW, I lent my boss' wife Season One. Yes, she is being a little more bearable lately. I haven't had to yell at her at all. The only thing is - I thought she'd be watching it right away, but now she's talking about waiting until one of her friends comes into town in March. So no Ortolani story for a while. My boss thinks she'll hate it because of the violence. (He actually admits to liking the show.)

Going to take a little downtime and watch a couple of episodes of "Robot Chicken:Season One". It's this crazy show on the Cartoon Network fusing pop culture with stop-motion animation (and lots and lots of dolls & action figures). Example of the strangeness - a segment called "Kill Bunny" which is a parody of "Kill Bill" with Jesus on a quest to kill the Easter bunny (he also faces off against Santa Claus). It's an unusual show.
