Random bits of this & that with very little segue.
There is now a fanfic community for "The Departed" on LJ. First piece out of the gate - Dignam/Costigan - I figured once the movie came out on DVD, it wouldn't take long. I watched it the other night again and found the ideal spot to slash from (Chapter 17 for the curious), so eventually...
Apparently my Firefly Valentine stories will have to wait for next year or else I could be perverse and post them at the end of March. Despite all of my Mal & River (not necessarily Mal/River) fascination, I've seemed to have developed a real love for Zoe. Maybe because she's part of the only canon pairing that I like.
In the category of "be careful what you wish for", I am all caught up at work. It only took six months. But I'm to the point where I've started looking for things to do. And then people who are there to help me are asking me for things to do and I've barely got enough to keep myself occupied. Today I went through and tried to eliminate things that were still undone from 2006. It was strange.
Pitchers and catches reported today. I'm looking forward to baseball season. Hey, right at this moment, the Cubs have the chance to win the World Series. Hope springs eternal.
