Maybe my expectations are too high, but sometimes this writing gives me fits. I've been circling this damnable Dignam/Costigan piece for weeks now and it's still nowhere near where I want it. And I don't think I'm hitting the canon enough. Which is a problem in and of itself. I am trying another tactic and writing the scene from both characters POV and then weaving them together. Part of me thinks that Costigan is my new Keller.
And the really odd thing was that I had an extra day this weekend, but I wound up doing less writing than I did in two days last week. And nothing screenplay-wise at all.
Baseball season started today. The World Champion (man, I love saying that) St. Louis Cardinals lost to the Mets. It's nice to finally have games again. I'll have to get out to Dodger Stadium a few times this year, aside from when the Cubs and World Champs are here, of course.
Boss is out in the morning tomorrow, which means it's a staff breakfast day. It's always nice to do that, have some coffee and a nice breakfast to start what can be a high pressure day. We had a lot of those last year. And it's something that we look forward to.
