This will take some getting used to.
Jul. 14th, 2007 09:41 pmSo I spent part of today working on the new layout for my page. It took me a while to find one that had everything I wanted, but I'm quite satisfied with how it turned out. It's just a bit strange looking at it.
I did a little writing today - my first "Ocean's 11" fic. I've always found the caper aspect a bit intimidating, but this was just a one-shot character piece about when Rusty sees Danny for the first time after his release from prison (the beginning of the film, not the end). It's been something that I've wanted to do, so it was nice to be able to get it out there. I also have one that I'm going to do that involves the end of "L.A. Confidential" (the gayest straight film ever made), but I'll actually have to devote a couple of hours to watching the movie before I write it - I know basically what I want to say though, so it won't be too bad (I hope).
If anyone out there wants to catch a very charming independent film, go rent "Sweet Land". It's a love story that takes place in rural Minnesota in the 1920s and the evolution of the characters and the relationship between them is just fascinating to watch.
There was a preview for "The Illusionist" in front of it. I had no idea that Rufus Sewell was in it. That factor alone got it moved to the top of the queue very quickly.
