cmk418I don't feel like I wrote as much this year as last, but I did manage to branch out into a few different fandoms (other than OZ and Firefly). So here are a few of my favorites from the year with the reasoning behind it.
The Departed
Opportunities - my first Departed fic, took me 4 months to get Billy and Dignam together
Algebra in Your Sleep - Strictly an exercise in PWP and my first threesome fic (Billy/Madeline/Colin)
One Tear - The fic I'm proudest of from 2007. I really enjoyed experimenting with the form (Billy/Dignam)
Firefly
Tranquillity - My first real AU fic sets the series as a low budget film and the characters as actors/crew on the film set. (River/Mal)
Helping - Believe it or not, my first foray into femmeslash (more suggestive than graphic) (Zoe/River/Inara/Kaylee)
L.A. Confidential
Another Time, Another Life - a fic that has been in my head for years saw the light of day (Ed/Bud)
OZ
A Letter From Three Wives - It's my B/K entry for the year and I was remarkably pleased how it turned out.
Great Risks - Still in progress, but parts 4 (the McDonald's scene) and 7 (the het-that's-not-het scene) definitely deserve to be on the list. It was nice being able to work with one of those rarepairs (O'Reily/Ortolani) and get them together and create a world that fit in canon, but was still outside the Oz-verse, and there will be more from them in 2008.
As far as what I wanted to do writing-wise in 2007, I think I accomplished most of my goals (still need to do that Adebisi/Said fic) and I'm just going to jump into this year and go wherever the muse takes me.
