Is today over yet?
Jan. 8th, 2008 07:24 pmWeird day. Started with going into work and hearing that Wifey was again threatening to get rid of the office cat. That put me in a funk for most of the morning (on top of not feeling well to begin with). The situation rectified itself a little bit, but everyone was still running hot all afternoon. I don't know if I actually got roped into taking care of future vet bills or not. I did volunteer because I think that was Wifey's one gripe.
Bit of good news. My sister let me know that she's going to be having a boy. No surprise to me (I'm 3 for 3). Of course, they were thinking girl so they had a girl's name all picked out. No idea what to call it if it's a boy. despite my many suggestions (Yadier is a lovely name, truly). I think my sister was joking when she said "It's a Frodo."
Listened to the Hawks lose. In overtime so at least they got a point out of it, but still, it's getting a little frustrating. Maybe they'll win tomorrow.
I'm somewhat irritated that the Golden Globes are going to be done as a press conference this year. It makes sense, but still, it just seems rather silly. Why even have it televised at all? I wonder if they'll show clips - one would think they'd have to in order to fill up the time.
Anyone who's been reading "Great Risks" should take a look at the Ortolani/O'Reily story that just made its way into
oz_magi. It's very good.
They're invading my apartment again tomorrow. I don't really care anymore. I think I'm going to be heading to bed as soon as I add this and it's not even eight yet.
