I heard back from one of the Craigslist ads earlier today. It was one of those "dream job" type things - work from home, play with data entry all day, get paid wads of cash (you folks know what I'm getting to here). So this guy wants to conduct the interview by YIM. Fine. There's the usual boring crap and then I ask about the job itself. He says he works with this major temp agency. Which is fine, gives me an idea right. And then he's dangling the money in front of me - look at this shiny thing over here - and saying that I'd get paid bi-weekly by direct deposit. Red flag warning time. So I ask which branch he's working with? He says OHIO! WTF? So I say, which branch in Ohio? And the next message is - you guessed it - so-and-so has signed off.

So the moral of the story, kiddies, if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.
