Rain in SoCal
Dec. 9th, 2006 08:02 pmSo I went out earlier tonight and when I came back it had started to rain. I didn't react the way I usually do to it, which is run like hell and get out of it as soon as possible, but I actually enjoyed the feeling of it for a minute or two. Rain is so rare here that it's just nice being able to feel it.
I got one of the things on my to-do-for-December list done - I colored my hair this afternoon. It's red again (and all of the grey is gone - yay!).
I am currently printing out chords for Christmas music for next week. Loads of fun. Actually, I'm kinda looking forward to it a bit. With our old choir director, we would sing Christmas music all during Advent (and be longing for the regular stuff by the time Epiphany came around), but with our new guy, we're not doing a lot of traditional stuff, and just sticking with the regular music the really high version of "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel". So this will be the first real opportunity for a lot of us to sing some carols.
And yes, I am wondering if she'll show up tomorrow. The more this month goes on, the more I'm reminded of her - Christmas concerts, Kate Winslet movies, and just strange little things out of the blue will hit me. (Darn that Kate Winslet.)
Side note - Franz Gruber wrote "The First Noel". Doesn't he sound like the villainous second cousin from the next "Die Hard" film. Or is it just me? C'mon, if "Rocky" can have another sequel, maybe "Die Hard" can too. BTW, I saw the first commercial for that today. It looks like a joke. Rocky deciding to fight based on a video game?!? Is this the point where I should be happy or really really sad that Hollywood hasn't hired me yet?
