Chicago - Day 1 1/2

cmk418So, yesterday was a bit of a write-off but this morning has so far made up for it. I did something today that I haven't done in 11 years which was walk along Belmont Harbor as it was snowing. It was absolutely beautiful.
The margarita portion of the margarita & waffles weekend will take place in a few hours - yes, I am going to fill my body with frozen strawberry margaritas and then walk back in a snowstorm, why do you ask? Waffles will have to wait until tomorrow.
I picked up "Inception" and "The Social Network" on DVD. Planning on watching them at some point tonight or early tomorrow morning. This trip is more like a retreat than anything else, so there's not a lot of sightseeing involved. And it's a little cold. And, snowing. Staying indoors sound like a really good plan.
Will make a recs list for Oz Magi & some other things in the next post.
