What the heck is going on?

I don't like Valentine's Day. At all. There's too much fuss and pressure packed into 24 hours. It's ridiculous.
That said, so far I've written two Valentine's Day centered stories for the "Oz" fandom and I'm working for at least one, maybe two stories for the "Firefly" community. Has all my romantic energy stored up and now is spilling out into text? God only knows.
Went to my dance class tonight. It's my one remaining obligation, so I feel I need to go there every week. Our teacher had a definite change of tactics between last week to this one though, because everything got incredibly hard. Yes, I know I'm dancing challenge level 2, but it really doesn't have to be that friggin' challenging. My head was spinning by the end of the evening.
After class I went by Hollywood/Highland - they are having an Oscar display - haven't seen it yet, but they had five statuettes sitting in a display window. They seem smaller than I'd imagined. Doesn't matter though. I still want one. The poster for the campaign this year is wonderful. It has what seems like well over 50 movie quotes surrounding the Oscar. I can figure out a lot of them. Funny that they have a line from "Brokeback Mountain" and not from "Crash" - not saying anything more on that subject.
I didn't mention that "The Departed" comes out tomorrow. That's a good thing. I'm fully expecting to see a flurry of Dignam/Costigan slash by the weekend.

I know, isn't that weird when you see one in person?? They're just over 12", but are frickin' heavy! I wonder if anyone ever dropped one on stage? That would be scary...and embarassing.

Date: 2007-02-13 09:25 pm (UTC)You know what's even weirder. The first thought that came to mind was "this looks like it's the same size as one of the OzDolls."
They supposedly have one there that you can touch, but I want to be at the ceremony, holding an envelope with my name on it when that eventually happens (and yes, I might be the first one to drop it on stage).
BTW, is it me or are there red spots breaking out all over Keller on your icon?

Oh, no, no, no! Apply superglue to your hand as your name is called...and then thank me for the tip! haha

HA! *More* blood on his hands? Nah, that's just the gif program being wacky because I had to reduce the colors to make it the right size. =o)

LOL
