I just got back from voting, and I'm feeling cautiously optimistic. My congressional district has been represented by a Republican since 2000, but there's a good chance the blue wave will reach us. *fingers crossed*
Lines were out the door when I got to the polls and just as long when I left. The whole thing took about 45 minutes. I did a touchscreen and some of the buttons were a little "off" so it took a bit longer for me to make sure everything was on the ballot correctly.
I hope the blue wave comes through. We have a Democratic incumbent up for re-election and I'm a little worried about her chances.
Fingers crossed that this election helps voters to realize that their choices (or lack thereof) really do matter.
