I recently held a challenge over at [livejournal.com profile] hardtime100 for International Women's Day. People who submitted drabbles could then prompt me. [livejournal.com profile] mazephoenix gave me the prompt "mindfuck" and I had something in mind for it, but since it wasn't exactly what the original prompt called for, I didn't post it there (I wrote another response for that community). So, this was my first idea for that prompt:

Bonnie had been difficult. She was the first test. He didn’t think that she would ever forgive him after what he’d done, but she had.

Toby was next. He was a work in progress, but Chris had faith that Beecher would fall in line soon enough. It was only a matter of time and properly timed doses of attention.

And, now, there was this. It was the greatest challenge he’d faced to date. To take someone’s ideas of themselves apart so completely, it required time, patience, and skill. Time, he had plenty of in the joint. Patience, he had developed it over the years. As for skill, well, he’d made her doubt herself as a psychiatrist and a woman. What was left was to shake her faith.

If he could do that, it was like mindfucking God.

And if he could get Sister Pete to forgive him after that, it would be his greatest triumph.

Neat. Did not guess at first about Sister Pete. That really was a mindfuck. Effective and creepy story. Good one!

Loved this line. You really got into Keller's head here.
