cmk418Caught "Prodigal Son" tonight on FOX. Been a while since I've taken a shot on anything new but this looked like it could be fun. It's got a bit of a "Silence of the Lambs" vibe going (if Clarice was Hannibal Lechter's kid). The ever-charming Michael Sheen plays the imprisoned serial killer. I don't watch much TV so I didn't know the leading man from anywhere (Tom Payne, who some folks may know from The Walking Dead), but I found him interesting enough to buy into and it's fun to watch him skirt the edge of madness. Lou Diamond Phillips has a small part as a NYPD higher-up and the actress that played Mellie on "Scandal" plays the lead's mother. It's going to be a "case of the week" type show, but I'm looking forward to watching the father-son relationship play out from week to week.
