I know I did promise the next part of "Great Risks" before I left, but considering that's about 5 minutes from now and my fifth draft of the piece doesn't seem much closer from where I want it to be, it's not going to happen.

I'll be back to reading and responding on the 14th.

Hi-I just wanted to wish you a belated Happy Birthday! I knew you were on vacation so I thought I'd wait until you came back.
I also was working on a story for you and hoped to have it done by tbe time you came back. I'm still working on it-it's a pair that I've never written before!I might post part of it. Hope you don't hate it!

Thank you. I had a wonderful birthday and a very nice trip to St. Louis - managed to see a rare two (!) Cardinal victories when I was there (and yes, Rick Ankiel is all that & a bag of chips, something I've been saying since March).

I'd love to see the story you're working on. I'm sure it'll be great.

Part 7 of the O/O boys is giving me a major headache. And the scenario itself isn't too difficult, I just want to make it more complicated than it is. This is one of those times that I wish LJ & its readers were screenplay friendly because I'd really love to do an intercut sequence without having to spell out each POV change. It's just a question of placement, but it's not going to happen tonight because my head's about to hit the keyboard.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your birthday and your trip!
And you saw 2 baseball games where your team won-I'd be ecstatic!
I saw a picture of Rick Ankiel and he really is cute!

Maybe you could try the screenplay intercut sequence and see how that goes? I'm eagerly waiting for the next chapter!
Thank you for your encouragement regarding my story. I might post the first,or first two parts since they sort of go together. I have to make sure it doesn't seem awkward!

I re-read some of what I had for the next part and I'm really not so far away from where I want to be.

The awkwardness is a big thing though. Sometimes it just takes a day or two of stepping away and then looking at it with clear eyes for it to seem work-able. Good luck!
