Aw come on, Emmy producers, it's not like Sally Field was falling out of her dress on stage. Or Ray Romano. Or Kathryn (my name is pronounced HI-Gull) Heigl. It's a word. A single word. That all that needs to be eradicated. I didn't really care about hearing the rest of Sally Field's speech after she used g-d, but I'm sure someone who really, really liked her would have. Grow a pair, and tell the FCC to grow a pair as well. And having cut in footage of an empty auditorium made it just seem weird. At least tribute "The Sopranos" and make it go all static or something interesting.

I was going back and forth between the Yankee game and the Emmy awards so I missed Ray Romano's comments. They really went to a shot of an empty auditorium? That's bizarre!
Did they censor Sally Field's speech too?
What did she say? I was thinking about the "You like me,you really, really like me "speech when I saw her walk up on the stage. But I switched to the game because I really didn't care that much. I guess I don't really, really like her.I just like her. And I wanted Edie Falco or Kyra Sedgwick to win.

That's weird, considering some of the things that people have said on those shows!
I was surprised when I read what Ray Romano said because I've never heard him say any curses at all on his comedy specials! He had to know that would have been censored.
I did see Heigl saying "shit" when she won.The funny thing was the night before on the "creative" emmy awards Elaine Stritch used the word "fuck". Of course it was bleeped, but you could still tell what she said.
Then the host said it too!
