I should not be awake at this hour. I've been unable to relax enough to go back to sleep since I woke up at 2:30. I keep thinking about work - never a good thing. The boss is out of town and I'm busy making decisions that may or may not be good ones, I have a pile of work on my desk that's stacking up at an alarming rate, staff members are not moving at a pace that I'd like, I put in almost 12 hours yesterday and still feel like I didn't get a damn thing done, I've got papers covering every conceivable surface of my office. And to top it all off, I'm PMS-ing. Nice, eh?
Random TV stuff - I hope just because Kristen Chenoweth can sing, they don't have her sing in every episode of "Pushing Daisies" - squeaky soprano voices just don't cut it with me. "Bionic Woman" was fun - all about Sarah this week and Jaime was less annoying than usual. The "we should form a union" line slayed me. "Life" was pretty good - the procedural end wasn't as interesting, but Crews got to pull a knife on a guy, so that was fun, and there was more Ted this time around, which I liked.
Hockey-wise, at least the Blues won. Jonathan Toews scored in his first game for the Hawks(on his first shot even) which made me happy. But only 16 other shots on the Hawks side, which didn't. The Wings are still winning (yuck), and the Kings didn't seem to show up for the game last night. It was pretty sad.
Going to try the bed thing again. Maybe I can squeeze in another hour and a half before running out the door to start my day.

Date: 2007-10-14 05:26 am (UTC)Are you able to relax this weekend? Because there's nothing better than curling up with a good book,(or good slash,or good porn)eating some comfort food and resting when you're stressed and PMSing. Maybe a bubble bath would help, and some aromatherapy.
I saw this week's episode of Bionic Woman, and I really liked Sara also. I just wish they wouldn't have these women love these creepy guys who try and manipulate him.
Is Jaime's boyfriend really dead? I didn't see the episode that showed him dead. Is it one of those "pretend you're dead" things so popular on these type of shows(and soap operas)?
I really like Jaime's sister. She is funny, and I enjoy the back and forth stuff between her and Jaime.
I liked the chemistry between Sara and Jaime.I loved the whole scene in the salon!
I also enjoyed watching Life this week. I just want him to stay away from the ex. I was yelling at the tv"Don't kiss her! She thought you murdered people and she left you! What's wrong with you"?
I like him with his partner or his lawyer, unless they do come up with a suitable male to slash him with.
But I thought it was very romantic when he said to his lawyer:"Do you ever think that the world is now you and me in one place and everyone else in another"?
I practically fell off the couch at that point!
I did like the knife action with Crews-and I couldn't stop laughing at poor Ted and his phobia about the coyotes(and the fence)!
I'm still watching baseball in spite of the fact that I don't really care who wins. I am such a baseball addict that I have to watch!
Tonight's game is actually good, with the lead going back and forth and it being in extra innings. My dog Zippo is on the couch watching, too. I think he's more concerned with going out soon, though.(Oh, I just looked at him and he's on his back. He's telling me that if he is going to have to watch this with me the least I can do is rub his stomach!)
I'm sending you some chocolate and lime koolaid, and a hug! Feel better!

Date: 2007-10-14 04:35 pm (UTC)How are you doing? I read your post where you vented. It sucks not to be appreciated by the very people we are trying to help.
On "Bionic Woman", I do not think Will is dead. I think they're hiding him somewhere and will bring him back as soon as Jaime gets comfortable with someone else (like Sarah, I hope)
"Life" is consistently excellent. I like Constance (the lawyer) and I think they'll pair her up with Crews. Crews is one of those characters that cannot be slashed (or it might just be that the appropriate slash-ee has not presented himself yet). And that fence scene. It was heartbreaking.
I caught a little of the ballgame when I was out. When I left Boston was still ahead, I didn't catch the final.
Thanks for the chocolate & the Kool aid and most especially the hug!

Date: 2007-10-16 03:11 am (UTC)I was wondering about Will on Bionic Woman. I don't know if they ever showed him "dead",but the last I saw of him he had what looked like a shot to the shoulder, and I heard someone ask if he'd make it,but it didn't look that serious for a comment like that.
Yes, he probably will return just when she's involved with someone else(I'm hoping for Sarah too,but I fear this will remain a "subtext" relationship) just like they do in soap operas.
I haven't seen an appropriate slash partner for Crews unless a crossover is done. Unless they do suddenly present a new character.
I just heard Ted say he wanted to build a fence to keep the coyotes out,and then I had to leave the room. Why was the scene heartbreaking? Did Crews have a sad reaction and/or flashback about prison?
I'm glad that the chocolates, KoolAid and hug helped!
