This is the next and final group of predictions.

Documentary Feature - No End in Sight

Foreign Language Film - Katyn - chosen simply because it's fairly close to my name

Animated Film - Ratatouille - one of the few that my family has consensus on

Original Screenplay - Juno - I liked The Savages a lot better and really am hoping that it'll beat it out.

Adapted Screenplay - There Will Be Blood - This should the bone that will be thrown to Paul Thomas Anderson (henceforth referred to as PTA), but I think the winner of this will not win Best Director, so in the way of Anton Chigurgh, flip a coin for who'll win.

Supporting Actress - Ruby Dee, American Gangster - I'm pulling for either Tilda Swinton or Cate Blanchett.

Supporting Actor - Javier Bardem, No Country for Old Men - Holbrook might make with the upset here, folks.

Actress - Julie Christie, Away from Her - Cotillard is hanging in there though. Personally, I'd like them to split and give it to Laura Linney.

Actor - Daniel Day-Lewis, There Will Be Blood - My favorite category. I have no problem with most of the contenders. If Johnny Depp wins, I will be very, very happy, but DDL did an incredible job of inhabiting his character, so it's deserved.

Director - Joel & Ethan Coen, No Country for Old Men - The loser of the Academy's coin flip for Best Adapted Screenplay will probably win here. On the off- (very off-) chance that PTA wins both, I will be the happiest woman in my pants and really be on the edge of my seat for the final category.

Picture - No Country for Old Men - Yeah. I know. I really want There Will Be Blood to take it home

Here are my thoughts on the weirdness that will be the 2008 Oscar telecast.

There will be montages.

There will be jokes about the supporting actor nomination being decided by the flip of a coin.

Someone will mention Javier Bardem's hair.

An actress out on the red carpet will complain about the cold. (Because in a way that's totally SoCal, it IS)

Jon Stewart will probably offer Daniel Day-Lewis a milkshake.

Heath Ledger will be mentioned at least once. And will get the most applause in the "In Memoriam" montage.

There will be a joke made about Diablo Cody's past as a stripper.

Jennifer Lopez will not be there. (That's pretty much a given).

Viggo's naked fighting scene will not be the clip they show for his nomination (but it's the one everyone remembers).

Several jokes will be made at both the expense of the studios and the WGA, regarding the recent writer's strike.

A parody of the Golden Globes press conference will be done (possibly to start off the show).

A costume design nominee will wear the most hideous put-together dress imaginable.

All three songs from Enchanted will be done in the same block of time (if they split up the performances).

References to the 2008 Presidential campaigns will pop up every so often with Hilary Clinton being the most talked about.

Someone will "be completely unprepared" with an acceptance speech.

Hopefully someone will screw up (it's usually the first one) and say "And the Winner Is..." instead of "And the Oscar Goes To..." (which always seems like such a cop-out to me).

The show will not come in "on time".

That's all for now, folks. Will recap after the show, unless something strikes me as interesting before then.
