So after all my lovin' on Dr. Faraj in the post yesterday, who do I get a call from today, but my very own dentist. I go to the dental school so I've had kind of a revolving door of experiences since I came to LA. I hadn't been to a dentist for about 7 years prior to me moving here (it's not a fear exactly, more of a trust issue and a strong distaste for PAIN) but I got to the point where something, make that lots of somethings, needed to be done. So I wound up with my first student dentist who was an absolutely fantastic guy that used to hum/sing Persian lullabies while I was in the chair. I saw him every Tuesday night for well over a year. Then I got the one that I refer to as "the butcher", lady dentist, didn't like to over-anesthetize (and the stuff they use never takes on the first try with me) - that went nowhere fast, then her successor, another lady dentist that I didn't even bother to go to. And now, my current guy, who is the best one so far with the cleanings - honest to God, I would rather undergo 9 out of 10 dental procedures before cleaning. Crown lengthening is the exception, but they give you some wonderful drugs to deal with that. Don't ask. It's icky. Here's the thing though, I prefer male dentists. I don't play the estrogen card a lot, but get me in that dental chair and I'll shed a tear if the occasion warrants it. A lady dentist will see right through that because I truly believe that women know exactly how much other women can take physically. And it's a lot more than we let on. So sometime in the next month or two I'll be heading down to the school for 3 more fun-filled hours (that's the only drawback to dental school - they're in class and they use the whole time).

On to a new topic, I'm three episodes away from the ending of the show. I could have watched another one tonight, but I'm not emotionally prepared to watch Dean Winters cry (cause he'll probably drag me right along with him). Finally a bit of McManus, thank God. That scene with Murphy will be watched again and again for some slash inspiration - I half expected Timmy-boy to grab him right there in the staff room. (For some reason that sounds like a really bad euphemism.) I'm in kind of a silly mood tonight, might be a good time to jump back into the Keller thing, toss down another page before bed.

Hell, I have to get ready for a meeting tomorrow. I'm running it so there's prepwork, albeit minimal. I hate being responsible.
