Trying to figure out the deal with these comments - sometimes the subject lines are there, sometimes they aren't, sometimes my icons are doing funky things. I'm sure it'll be somewhat rectified by the new year. Fingers crossed. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
My mom is going to have hip surgery in a week. She has hip dysplasia, which basically means they're going to have to rebuild her like the bionic woman and it also means that she'll have to be off her feet for six weeks which is a bit of a drag, but since she's been in pain for the better part of the year and laid up for the past couple of months another few weeks should be cake.
I am ready for Christmas, but I'm also ready for it to be over. I like New Year's Day so much better - there's something about just having the slate clean and being able to make a fresh start and I'm sure there are people who can do that every moment of every day, but I'm not one of them so I'm just going to celebrate the hell out of the new year and pray that it improves upon this past one.
Still employed. The newest thing is that it might go through January. Or March. Or June. Or October. Basically nobody knows anything.
Saw "Moneyball" at the end of November but haven't seen anything since then. There are a few dozen movies that I want to see, but I have no idea when it's going to happen.
I travel to Chicago in less than a month. I think I'm going to need it.
I'll probably post again in a day or two, so I'll just wish everyone "Happy 1st Day of Winter!"
