Went to work yesterday despite not feeling great and the 6+ inches of snow on the ground. Mentioned that I'd stay home today if I still felt that way, which is what happened. I had a fever this morning (which is something I didn't expect) and went to the doctor who diagnosed me with flu and sentenced me to 4 days of being homebound, so no work for me on Monday either.
I really hate being sick. Might take some time in the next couple of days to read the NaNo 2010 project and see if anything can be salvaged from it. On the way to Chicago, I read some of the novel I wrote in 2009 and the beginning part wasn't awful.
Off to bed. Goodnight, all.

I am planning to do NaNo this year, too. It was an awesome experience and taught me a lot about my writing habits and style. I'm actually still pretty excited that I made the 50K and had something that didn't completely suck.
I find editing and fiddling on the computer a challenge, so I'm trying to work out in my mind if I really want to print the 200 plus pages I wrote, or work on it a "chapter" at a time. I haven't read all the way through it, yet, and to be honest I couldn't do it in one shot because I'd start fiddling with it, I know I would. That's why I like the idea of printing it and working my way through it in a more methodical manner.
I haven't really been thinking too much about what I want to tackle next time in terms of story/plot, or even idea, but I do know I want my writing time to be earlier in the day and if that means getting up an hour and a half earlier, so be it. I was getting far to wound up after writing my 2K each evening and my sleep really suffered. Not a good thing for me. (I also think that's why my story went off the rails at the end, and it did, it really, really did.)
